So we headed on over to it and sat down. Julie got a bag of freshly popped popcorn and a kit to build a battery sorter. It looks like a tiny tiny bookshelf. She's too young still to actually do the building, but she pounded the hammer a few times. She loves "helping" Ben when he's working, and she has her own tool set at home.
As part of the workshop, she also got a nifty orange apron and a pin with this month's project on it. We're definitely going back again next month.

Looks like you have a Builder Babe (vs Builder Bob) in the family. Good for Julie wanting to work with her dad!
How fun! I didn't know they had those.
We have been wanting to do that for like 2 years now and have never actually gone. They do it at Lowes too. Sounds like it's worth it.
